Activity Holidays

The Caithness & Sutherland Walking Festival, which takes place in May, has proved very popular since its launch in 2004. The joint working of the Forestry Commission, RSPB, Highland Council Ranger Service, Caithness Field Club, the Waybaggers local walking group and a number of local volunteers have combined to make the event a great success.   We are now developing the walking market further by working with a number of walking holiday providers. We can offer a service to local accommodation providers to promote walking in the area, as well as other activities. We have developed a number of self guided walking routes.
